Coast to Coast Weather first hit the web in August, 2009. Driven by a passion for weather and a desire to share that love with other weather enthusiasts, Scott Guidry and Scott Davis spent many hours discussing a weather community concept with an emphasis on severe events before building Coast to Coast Weather.
Their goal is to create a fun, friendly, welcoming community for all weather enthusiasts to share their weather interest, build friendships, receive pertinent weather information, report and share their weather observations and learn more about weather in an encouraging and positive environment. Coast to Coast Weather is the website focal point of the tools comprising the National Amateur Weather Society (NAWS). Please click the Community link to learn more about the other freely available NAWS tools they have developed.
Though neither Scott is employed in the meteorological trade, Scott Guidry has extensive website and forum experience as Website Administrator for Gulf Coast Weather. Scott Davis is the author of WXSpots, a free software program that enables all users to connect and provide "real time" weather observations and communicate both individually and in groups.
Like both Scott's other weather projects, Coast to Coast Weather isn't a revenue generating endeavor. It is available freely to anyone with a passion for weather. If you share their weather interest, please join the fun, friendly weather community that Scott and Scott are creating, where ever you are - Coast to Coast!
So whether you're a professional or aspiring meteorologist, a trained Skywarn Spotter, a weather enthusiast, or just have a basic interest in mother nature, we're sure you'll find a nice and comfortable home right here at Coast To Coast Weather! Welcome aboard!
